When it comes to natural acne treatments, you are spoiled for choice. There are so many options out there – just do a google search and you will see what I mean. Choosing the right one for you is essential.

What you want to find is somthing that will calm the inflammation and, at the same time, help to get rid of the acne. One great remedy that I found was Arnica oil blended with Tea Tree Oil.

It is simple enough to make up if you cannot find it ready mixed – get arnica oil as unadulterated as possible and add in some tea tree oil – no more than 1 percent will be enough at this stage.

If you want to, you can also add in another 1 percent of Lavender oil to really kick it up a notch. Blend well – this is going to be the nutrient mix for your face.

The arnica helps to reduce inflammation and takes away that angry look the acne has. It will also reduce any bruising from picking at the sores.

The Tea Tree is the antiseptic part of this equation and will kill of the bacteria present in the skin that cause that horrible pus. The Lavender is a general all round good guy.

It helps fight the infection, soothes the skin and promotes skin renewal and healing. Using this mix is simple. You wash your face. Apply the oil and then place a warm, damp, face cloth over it.

The warmth from the cloth helps the oil to get into where it is needed and helps to bring the pus to the surface so that pimples heal faster. The cloth will also mop up excess oil.

From then on you just need to dry your skin. You can decide whether or not you still need to moisturize it but chances are that you will not. Applying too many products can overload your skin and cause more breakouts.

If you are not keen on using oil on your face you could also take arnica tablets. This is a homeopathic remedy and is normally dissolved under your tongue.

Generally speaking, your dose will be two to three pills three times a day but that depends on the brand and the severity of your particular situation.
